Is there anyone who works for this blog that is older than 30? Most of these stars look their age in my opinion. People in their 40′s don’t look old. I think 50 begins to be a more telling time, when more wrinkles begin to appear. When someone past 55 looks 35 to 40, that will amaze me. I remember what I looked like in my 40′s and most people thought I was much younger. At almost 58, time has caught up and I no longer pass for someone in my 40′s. The only person I thought would have definitley had me quessing was the last celebrity posted. He still looks like a kid (in his 20′s) to me.

Kind of weird to think EW might believe turning 40 makes you automatically old and no longer “sexy.” But then again you are a magazine about Hollywood and certainly that seems to be an overriding principle in Hollyweird. As a movie goer and TV watcher I see Judi Dench in the sequel to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and think she’s sexy as hell. I see Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino and think he’s sexy as hell. Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Mark Harmon, Kim Cattral…all 50 or older. We’ll know agism is dead when articles like this stop getting published.

I thought everyone looked their age! Either the people I know are aging very well (and for the most part without botox or surgery) or you have no idea what people in their 40′s, 50′s, 60′s, 70′s and even 80′s look like. But then again, when I was 35, I was still being carded and now that my twin daughters are 35, they are also being carded.

Do not know who thinks they look younger than most people. It got all of their ages right, even the ones In did not know. But Grace Park on Hawaii Five-0 still looks good. She was on Battlestar Galactica back in 2004.

Gwen Stefani is not 44 ~she is going to be 46 this year
and if you saw her in person…she wears layers of thick Mac makeup foundation and lines her lips outside her lip line. She literally looks like a clown..I was very shocked and had a totally different opinion of her. Cameras just make people look different and makeup does wonders.

If you saw half these celebs in person you wouldn’t question what their true ages were at all. Good makeup, spa treatments/skincare, quality clothing and good camera angles can take years off your look..

I thought Lucy Lu was older, must be the facial plastic surgery she had. Take a look at her in the Mel Gibson movie, PayBack. She is unrecognizable. She had a much more pretty rounded face. Some “improvements” come back to haunt us.

This was not surprising. I’m 30 and haven’t heard of most of these artists or they were already in their 30′s when I was ten. They look healthy and fit, like older people with money to get frequent facials, massages and cosmetic surgery, who also live a healthy lifestyle.

Julianne Moore has always looked great. Did you ever stop to think , the part of the movie may have required she looked whatever age she played ? Most actors are changed by varying amounts of makeup for movie rolls. Many times, it’s what the director/producer demands.
