For most people, being a member of Queen would be enough of an accomplishment for one lifetime. But for Brian May it fulfilled only one of his passions. He started doctoral studies in astrophysics in the 1970s, but he had to leave school once the band took off. However, he continued to be vocal about his passion for astronomy and was invited to finish his studies at Imperial College. He graduated with his Ph.D. in 2007.
