The popularity of the Twilight Zone put a movie based on the TV series in production back in 1982. During one particularly action-packed scene, Morrow was decapitated after a pyrotechnics explosion ripped off a tail-section of a helicopter, also killing two children used as extras on the ground. The movie eventually finished production but was a dud at the box-office.
