One of the funniest and most talented Canadian actors of all-time, John Candy struggled with weight issues throughout his life and career. In March of 1994, he suffered a massive heart attack and died the next day. A history of heart disease in his family (his father was only 35 when he died) may have also been a factor, at least regarding his attitude towards his health.
